Duplex Steel Bars and Rods contain about 22–25% chromium, 4–6% nickel, and 2.5–3.5% molybdenum, along with some nitrogen and manganese, providing a well-balanced dual-phase microstructure of austenite and ferrite. The bars have superior mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of about 620 MPa, yield strength of about 450 MPa, and satisfactory elongation. They also provide high pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance.
