Because Alloy Steel F9 Bars/Rods can function dependably under high pressure and temperature, they are frequently used in petrochemical facilities, oil and gas refineries, and power generation. Boiler tubes, headers, steam pipes, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels are all made with them. They are utilised in the chemical industry for processing equipment and reactors where resistance to corrosion at high temperatures is crucial. They are also appropriate for fasteners, shafts, and valves in thermal and nuclear power plants due to their formability and mechanical resilience. In any application where strength, resistance to oxidation, and long-term durability are required, F9 Bars and Rods are essential.
The main component of aluminium 3003 bars and rods is aluminium (96.8–99%), with trace amounts of manganese (~1.0–1.5%) and copper and iron. This composition has good formability and outstanding corrosion resistance. Depending on the temper (usually H14 or H24), mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 130–200 MPa, a yield strength of 110–145 MPa, and an elongation of 10–20%. Although these bars and rods cannot be heated, they can be cold-worked to gain strength without losing their ductility. For general-purpose applications, aluminium 3003 provides a good mix of strength, resistance to corrosion, and machinability.
