Tantalum Bars and Rods are mostly made of 99.9% pure tantalum with very low impurities like oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. These rods and bars are characterized by having a very high melting point of approximately 3017°C, good ductility, and tensile strength of between 200–750 MPa based on condition. They also have better corrosion resistance compared to the majority of acids, such as hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, even at high temperatures. The low vapor pressure and high thermal conductivity of tantalum also add to its dependability in harsh conditions, making it a material of choice in specialized uses.
