Duplex Steel Bright Bars consist primarily of chromium (21–23%), nickel (4.5–6.5%), molybdenum (2.5–3.5%), and nitrogen (0.1–0.2%), along with well-balanced quantities of manganese, silicon, and iron. These bars provide a two-stage microstructure (ferrite and austenite), giving them high strength and corrosion resistance. They have high tensile strength (620–880 MPa), good yield strength (450 MPa min), and elongation of approximately 25%. The balanced composition gives high resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, and thus these bars are suitable for extreme and corrosive conditions.
