Nitronic 33 Bar and Rod contain mainly iron, chromium, nickel, manganese, and nitrogen, having better corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. This austenitic grade of stainless steel has very good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It has a tensile strength of about 860 MPa and a yield strength of about 450 MPa with good ductility and toughness. The addition of nitrogen enhances its performance under harsh conditions so that it is longer-lasting and more durable than regular stainless steels.
