The Nitronic Bar and Rod products by Rupal Metals consist of a high-grade alloy that consists of 20–23% chromium, 4–6% manganese, 8–11% nickel, and also nitrogen, molybdenum, silicon, and trace amounts of carbon. This special combination provides greater corrosion resistance and superior mechanical strength. The materials have a yield strength close to twice that of 304 and 316 stainless steels, high elongation, and remarkable toughness. At severe temperatures, their mechanical properties are not affected. Nitronic alloys are also non-magnetic when in annealed or cold-worked states, rendering them suitable for situations where magnetic interference should be eliminated.
