SAE 1541 Round Bar and Rod is a high-manganese, medium carbon steel with outstanding tensile strength and wear resistance. It generally has around 0.36–0.44% carbon, 1.35–1.65% manganese, and trace amounts of phosphorus and sulfur. This steel has tensile strength of approximately 620 MPa and yield strength of about 380 MPa, with good elongation and toughness.
