Rupal Metals, a reputable manufacturer and supplier located in Delhi, India, specializes in high-quality Inconel 601 Forgings, designed to excel in extreme conditions. This nickel-chromium alloy boasts remarkable resistance to high-temperature oxidation and impressive mechanical strength, making it perfect for thermal and corrosive industrial settings. At Rupal Metals, we pride ourselves on delivering precision-forged components that adhere to strict international standards and meet our customers’ unique specifications. With a strong commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction, we cater to industries such as petrochemical, aerospace, and heat treatment, providing durable and high-performance solutions for demanding engineering challenges.
Inconel 601 Forgings are primarily made up of nickel (58–63%) and chromium (21–25%), along with small amounts of iron, aluminum, carbon, and other trace elements. This unique blend gives the alloy outstanding resistance to oxidation and scaling at temperatures reaching up to 1200°C. Inconel 601 showcases a tensile strength of about 600–700 MPa and a yield strength close to 275 MPa, ensuring it maintains its mechanical integrity even under thermal stress. The alloy is known for its excellent creep and rupture strength, good metallurgical stability, and resistance to carburization. Additionally, it offers solid weldability and formability, making it ideal for complex, high-temperature industrial forging applications.

Temperature control ensures uniform heating, preserving the microstructure and mechanical properties of forged Inconel 601. Inadequate control can lead to defects, reduced strength, and compromised performance in high-temperature applications.
Inconel 601 forgings are produced through a combination of hot working and controlled cooling, typically involving heating to high temperatures followed by forging to shape. Post-forging, the material undergoes heat treatment to optimize strength and enhance corrosion resistance.
To improve the surface finish of forged Inconel 601 parts, you can use methods such as polishing, grinding, or shot blasting. Additionally, applying a protective coating or performing heat treatments can help enhance surface smoothness and reduce oxidation.
Inconel 601 Forgings find extensive use in industries that demand materials capable of withstanding high heat, oxidation, and corrosive environments. Common applications include furnace components, heat treating equipment, radiant tubes, muffles, and thermal reactors. In power generation and chemical processing facilities, it serves as catalyst support grids, tube hangers, and petrochemical burners. The aerospace industry utilizes it for engine parts and exhaust systems. Thanks to its resistance to spalling, thermal shock, and high-temperature conditions, Inconel 601 is a go-to choice for many challenging applications.
