Super Duplex Steel Ferralium 255 Bars/Rods are high-performance alloys containing about 25% chromium, 5% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, and an equi-proportion of copper and nitrogen. The special chemical composition brings superior corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride-bearing environments. Mechanically, Ferralium 255 has a tensile strength of as high as 800 MPa and good yield strength of approximately 550 MPa. With enhanced toughness and hardness, it can function under pressure and temperature with reliability. Its duplex microstructure combines the strengths of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels with the assurance of improved strength and resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
