Super Duplex Steel Hex Bar usually has a well-balanced material composition of Chromium (24–26%), Nickel (6–8%), Molybdenum (3–5%), Nitrogen (0.2–0.3%), and minor elements like manganese and copper. The well-balanced composition imparts the bar remarkable pitting resistance and crevice corrosion resistance. Mechanically, it has high tensile strength (min 750 MPa), yield strength (min 550 MPa), and superior impact toughness even at sub-zero temperatures. Its two-phase ferritic-austenitic microstructure gives it higher mechanical strength and corrosion resistance than stainless steel, qualifying it to be used in adverse and high-stress conditions.
