Tool Steel A2 Bars generally contain 1.0% Carbon, 5.0% Chromium, 1.0% Molybdenum, 1.0% Manganese, along with trace amounts of Vanadium. After undergoing heat treatment, A2 reaches a hardness level of 57–62 HRC while maintaining excellent dimensional stability. Its tensile strength falls between 1500–1900 MPa. A2 steel is also easy to machine and can be polished with ease, which is a great advantage in die and mold applications.
