Incoloy 800HT forgings contain chief constituents of nickel (30-35%), iron (balance), and chromium (19-23%), minor amounts of aluminum, titanium, and carbon. This special mix offers superior oxidation and carburization resistance at elevated temperatures. The mechanical properties consist of a tensile strength of around 75 ksi (515 MPa), yield strength of about 35 ksi (240 MPa), and elongation of around 30%. It exhibits stability and strength at high temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C) and is appropriate for severe environments where mechanical strength and corrosion resistance are equally important.
