Monel Hex Bars consist mainly of nickel (up to 67%) and copper, along with traces of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This nickel-copper alloy has outstanding resistance to corrosion, particularly in chemical and seawater environments. Mechanically, Monel has tensile strength of approximately 70,000 psi (480 MPa), good ductility, and adequate hardness for application in industry. It maintains strength over a wide temperature spectrum and shows good weldability and machinability properties.
