Super Duplex Steel S32750 Forgings consist of an evenly balanced composition of chromium (24–26%), nickel (6–8%), molybdenum (3–5%), nitrogen, and traces of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This alloy provides superior corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride-containing environments. Mechanically, it has tensile strength of approximately 800 MPa and yield strength of 550 MPa with superior impact toughness as well as fatigue strength. The strength of ferritic steel is combined with the corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel in this alloy, making it suitable for high-stress as well as corrosive conditions.
