Commercially pure titanium with a minimum titanium content of 99.5% makes up titanium Gr 1 forgings. Trace elements like oxygen (≤ 0.18%), nitrogen (≤ 0.03%), carbon (≤ 0.08%), hydrogen (≤ 0.015%), and iron (≤ 0.2%) are present in them. Excellent corrosion resistance is provided by this grade, particularly in environments that contain chloride and oxidisers. Tensile strength of approximately 240 MPa, yield strength of approximately 170 MPa, and elongation of 24–30% are examples of mechanical properties.
