Titanium Grade 6 (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn) Bars/Rods consist mainly of titanium (approximately 90%) with 5% aluminium and 2.5% tin. This alpha titanium alloy is known for its good weldability, medium strength, and exceptional corrosion resistance in oxidizing conditions. It has a tensile strength of around 827 MPa (120 ksi), yield strength close to 758 MPa (110 ksi), and elongation of around 10%. The density of the alloy is 4.48 g/cm³ and it provides superior creep resistance at high temperatures, which makes it a popular selection for performance-critical applications under harsh environments.
