Stainless Steel 430 Flat Bar is mainly made up of 16–18% Chromium and below 0.12% Carbon, and has traces of Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, and Sulfur. Ferritic stainless steel grade of this material is characterized by good formability and excellent corrosion resistance. It has a tensile strength of about 450 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 22%. With a Brinell hardness of about 150 HB, SS 430 flat bars are ferromagnetic in nature and have good oxidation resistance and are hence used for moderate environments and where aesthetic finish and structural integrity is required.
