Stainless Steel 304 Forgings mainly comprise 18–20% chromium and 8–10.5% nickel, with a carbon content of up to 0.08%. It also contains trace amounts of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. SS 304 boasts a tensile strength of about 520 MPa, a yield strength of around 215 MPa, and an elongation of nearly 40%. This austenitic stainless steel is non-magnetic when annealed and offers remarkable toughness, corrosion resistance, and good weldability.
