Stainless Steel 430 Hollow Bar contains chiefly chromium (16–18%) with very little nickel, thus making it a ferritic stainless steel. It also has iron as the base and trace elements of carbon, manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. This alloy has good resistance to corrosion in mild corrosive environments and has a tensile strength of about 450–600 MPa, a yield strength of around 250 MPa, and elongation of around 22%. With moderate ductility and excellent formability, Stainless Steel 430 Hollow Bar is a useful application for structural strength and resistance to oxidation.
