Stainless Steel 316 Hollow Bar consists of austenitic stainless steel containing about 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, and 2–3% Molybdenum. This alloy contains excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly in chloride-contaminated environments. It possesses very good mechanical qualities like a tensile strength of 515 MPa (min), yield strength of 205 MPa (min), and elongation of 40%. It also possesses very good weldability, toughness, and formability even at very low temperatures (cryogenic), which makes it ideal for challenging operating conditions.
