Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (6.5–7.75%), Aluminium (0.75–1.5%), and very little carbon (maximum 0.09%) make up stainless steel 17-7 PH Hex Bars/Rods. Tiny amounts of manganese and silicon are also present. Excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength are provided by this precipitation-hardened alloy. It has a yield strength of about 1170 MPa and a tensile strength of up to 1380 MPa when heat-treated.
