They also have trace amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. Stainless Steel 317 Square Bars/Rods possess very good mechanical properties with a tensile strength of approximately 75,000 psi and yield strength of 30,000 psi. They possess good elongation and hardness.
