Stainless Steel 321 Square Bars/Rods contain mostly chromium (17–19%) and nickel (9–12%) with the addition of titanium (up to 0.70%) that stabilizes the material against carbide precipitation. This austenitic stainless steel has a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa, with high elongation and hardness. It maintains mechanical strength and corrosion resistance under high-temperature conditions and is therefore well suited for high-temperature service. Its intergranular corrosion resistance following welding also makes it a good choice for applications where post-weld annealing cannot be done.
