Stainless Steel 347 Square Bars/Rods consist mainly of chromium (17-20%), nickel (9-13%), and columbium (niobium) for better stabilization. They can also contain additives like manganese, silicon, carbon, phosphorus, and sulfur in restricted proportions. These rods have very good mechanical strength with a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and yield strength of about 205 MPa. They have good elongation and hardness, even at high-temperature stress. Because of their stabilized microstructure, they are resistant to intergranular corrosion after high-temperature exposure in the chromium carbide precipitation range.
