Stainless Steel 430 is a ferritic stainless steel with a major component of 16-18% chromium and minimal carbon content (up to 0.12%), together with minute amounts of manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. With this composition, they provide superior resistance to corrosion and adequate formability. Mechanically, Stainless Steel 430 Square Bars/Rods possess a moderate tensile strength of around 450 MPa with a yield strength of about 275 MPa. The material possesses a hardness of about 70 HRB and is both tough and resistant to oxidation, and it can be used in applications demanding moderate strength as well as corrosion resistance.
