We specialize in providing high-purity, precision-engineered aluminium components that cater to a wide range of industrial needs. Aluminium 1060 is a commercially pure alloy celebrated for its remarkable electrical conductivity, outstanding corrosion resistance, and excellent formability. At Rupal Metals, we harness cutting-edge forging technology and maintain rigorous quality control to ensure our Aluminium 1060 forgings deliver consistent performance and precise dimensions. We proudly serve various sectors, including electrical, chemical, food processing, and architectural fabrication, offering tailored forging solutions that meet both local and international standards, all while ensuring prompt delivery and dependable support.
Aluminium 1060 is a non-heat-treatable, commercially pure aluminium alloy with at least 99.6% aluminium content, along with trace amounts of iron, silicon, copper, and manganese. This alloy is well-regarded for its superb electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as its good corrosion resistance and high reflectivity. Its mechanical properties feature a tensile strength ranging from 90 to 120 MPa, a yield strength of about 30 to 35 MPa, and an elongation of up to 35%, depending on the temper. Although it may not have the highest mechanical strength, its excellent ductility and weldability make Aluminium 1060 a fantastic choice for forging applications that require lightweight and highly formable materials.

Aluminum 1060 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its low strength and relatively low melting point. It is more suited for applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance and formability.
Aluminum 1060 offers high corrosion resistance, excellent workability, good weldability, and enhanced electrical conductivity, making it ideal for custom forgings in industries requiring lightweight, durable, and malleable components.
The forging process for Aluminium 1060 typically takes several hours, depending on the complexity of the part, with heating, shaping, and cooling stages. Each stage varies based on specifications.
Aluminium 1060 Forgings find extensive use in applications where high conductivity, corrosion resistance, and excellent formability are crucial. Common applications include electrical bus bars, transformer components, lighting reflectors, heat exchangers, and equipment for chemical processing. In the food and beverage sector, it’s particularly valued for being non-toxic and non-reactive, making it a safe choice for various applications.
