Aluminium 7075 is a robust, heat-treatable alloy made up of 5.6–6.1% Zinc, 2.1–2.5% Magnesium, 1.2–1.6% Copper, along with trace amounts of Chromium, Silicon, Iron, and Manganese. It boasts impressive mechanical properties, featuring tensile strength reaching 570–600 MPa, yield strength around 500 MPa, and solid fatigue resistance. The alloy also offers decent machinability and wear resistance. While its corrosion resistance isn’t as high as some other aluminium grades, it performs admirably when anodized or coated. Aluminium 7075 is perfect for forgings that demand both high mechanical strength and stability under stress.

Yes, Aluminum 7075 can be forged into shapes with tight tolerances. Its high strength allows for precise shaping, but careful control of temperature and pressure is required for optimal results.
Aluminum 7075 offers high strength, excellent fatigue resistance, low weight, good machinability, and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for custom forgings in aerospace, military, and high-performance applications.
Aluminum 7075 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its relatively low melting point and limited thermal stability. It is better suited for aerospace and structural applications at moderate temperatures.
Aluminium 7075 Forgings are extensively utilized in sectors that need lightweight components with outstanding strength and fatigue resistance. Typical applications include aircraft fittings, landing gear, aerospace structural parts, military-grade components, high-performance automotive parts, bicycle frames, and marine hardware. The alloy’s exceptional strength-to-weight ratio makes it a top choice for various demanding applications.
