Stainless Steel 310S Round Bars and Rods are made up mainly of chromium (24-26%) and nickel (19-22%), with minor contents of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and carbon. This austenitic stainless steel alloy possesses excellent resistance to oxidation and high-temperature corrosion. Its mechanical characteristics are tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and elongation of 40%. The alloy shows great toughness even at high temperature, and its low carbon level improves weldability and minimizes the possibility of carbide precipitation during welding operations.
