410 Round Bars and Rods of Stainless Steel are martensitic stainless steels containing a major proportion of 11.5–13.5% chromium, 0.75% nickel, up to 1% manganese, 0.15% carbon, and minute quantities of silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. These bars provide very good hardness, tensile strength (up to 700 MPa), and average corrosion resistance. The Brinell Hardness may vary from 170 to 223 based on heat treatment. The material also has good ductility and impact resistance, particularly in temper condition. Such mechanical and chemical attributes enable SS 410 bars and rods to be applicable in high-stress and slightly corrosive environments.
