The alloy contains manganese (up to 2%), silicon, and traces of phosphorus. These bars provide tensile strength of about 585 MPa, a yield strength of 240 MPa, and elongation of about 35%. With a Brinell Hardness value of 230 HB, they are highly strong, workable, yet retain corrosion resistance for general industrial applications.
