420 Bars/Rods of Stainless Steel are martensitic stainless steels with about 12-14% chromium and between 0.15% and 0.40% carbon content. Such a chemical composition provides superior hardenability, corrosion resistance, and a high resistance to wear. These rods and bars usually have tensile strength ranging from 700–900 MPa and can be hardened to up to 50 HRC. They also offer average ductility and toughness.
